INCARNATION, Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul - South Korea (12th November 2016)

Incarnation is a four hour long performance that took place during the massive anti-government protest that roiled in Seoul in 2016, which is still considered to be one of the biggest the country has witnessed in decades.

On 12th November 2016 and for the second weekend in a row, thousands of South Koreans called for President Park Geun-hye’s resignation. The march, which included families with young children, students, etc; came as opposition to Park. The artist was not present as a citizen nor as an artist but as an incarnation, her body as an object, she couldn't see anything but reflected everything surrounding her through a mirror box that is placed above her head. Some just passed by the artist, some recognized her performance and others took some pictures of their reflections.
